The Seasons of Your Cycle

Have you ever wondered why some weeks you are ready to conquer the world and other weeks you want to crawl into a hole and sleep for a week? This is because our cycle has a season and our body experiences different needs each season. The seasons are as follows:

  • Winter: Menses: Days 1-7, menstruation

  • Spring: Follicular: Days 7-14, before ovulation

  • Summer: Ovulation: Days 14-17

  • Autumn: Luteal: Days 18-28, post ovulation

By being mindful of each season, you can optimize your energy levels, productivity, and overall health. Don’t get stuck in following this guide perfectly. However, use it as a guide to help schedule your weeks to leave you feeling your best. If you begin following this guide, and notice that you are not ovulation or bleeding regularly, please reach out. This could mean that you have a hormone imbalance. We offer functional lab testing and can take a look at your hormone, cortisol, and thyroid levels. Tests are done at home via a finger prick or saliva. Once we receive this information, we look at the root cause of these imbalances and replenish what the body needs.

Enjoy this guide as a way to set yourself up for success. As always, reach out with anything you may need.
